Choose Sierra Suites Hotel for your Fort Huachuca lodging needs

Ft Huachuca Lodging

Fort Huachuca was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976. The site was selected in 1877 and in 1882 Camp Huachuca was re-designated as a fort. The fort was needed to counter the Chiricahua threat and help secure the Mexican border. Later the fort was used as a training facility during the World War Two and later closed in the late 1940’s. Fort Huachuca was reopened in 1967 and became the headquarters of the U.S. Army Strategic Communications Command.
Today Fort Huachuca is under the command of the U.S. Army Installation Management Command. Sierra Vista annexed the fort in 1971, the fort is located 15 miles north of the Mexican border. The fort’s tenants are the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), 9th Army Signal Command, U.S. Intelligence Center, Military Affiliate Radio System (MARS), Joint Interoperability Test Command and Electronic Proving Ground. The base has become well known for it's training expertise and receives many military trainees and students each month looking to learn from the best.... and thus looking for lodging during their stay.

Finding comfortable accommodations and lodging can be challenging, especially for those staying for an extended period of time.

Military students at  Fort Huachuca are often on Temporary Duty (TDY) with  orders anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months.  Though there is some limited availability for lodging on the Ft Huachuca base, the usual choice of residence for the military student is at a local Sierra Vista hotel.  Hotels such as the Sierra Suites, located just down the street from the base, offer reasonable lodging rates where military personell>can find a room for their nightly Domestic Per Diem Rates and not have to worry about cooking, cleaning or upkeep of an apartment or house while staying in Sierra Vista.

Ft Huachuca Friends and Family Package - starts at only $109/night and includes $25 gas card, $40 gift certificate for La Casita and $10 for in-room movie as well as a welcome gift!  No better deal in Sierra Vista:   Book Here
