While staying at Sierra Suites Hotel enjoy Bisbee, Arizona Attractions
Nestled in the mile-high Mule Mountains of southeastern Arizona, Bisbee takes its visitors back to the Old West. Bisbee boasts many quaint shops, antique stores, art galleries, book stores, cafes and restaurants and neighborhoods with restored Victorian and European-style homes. In Bisbee, there's something for both adults and families alike.
The Bisbee community was the largest city between St. Louis and San Francisco in the 1900’s and was know as “the Queen of the Copper Camps”. Most of the commercial district along Main Street remains completely intact - looking, today, as it did in the early 1900’s.
Perhaps the most popular and exciting attraction in Bisbee is the Queen Mine Tour. Guests will be asked to wear a mining hat and slicker and ride the mine train deep into the mine to experience the life of the miners as they tell you how they toiled in the subterranean tunnels. This is a fun and educational event for the whole family. Tours last about one hour and are offered 5 times a day and costs $12 for adults and $5 for childresn between 4-15 years old. Reservations suggested.
There is so much to do in Bisbee that is not to be missed (even several golf courses nearby!) - so when travelling through Southern Arizona, be sure not to miss taking a day or two (or more) to get to know the Queen of the Copper Camps, Bisbee Arizona.
